I was Drawn to You (2021)
Live Dance & Film
Commissioned by Reboot Programme & GM Artist Hub MCR.
An authoritative, performative, communicative, dynamic duo take to space. A work that focuses on the unexplainable, internal draw we have to certain people, energies & circles. Why are we intrigued by certain looks, hooked by particular rhythms, moved by a specific touch? What creates an innate, unspoken bond and what is simply a passive understanding of one another?
A duet that utilises Night People’s training in improvisational scores and love for heavy bass. This work provides an intimate, yet energetic insight into predicting someone’s next move, connecting beyond verbal understanding and finding the ‘draw’ together.
Performed at: GM Artist Hub Launch/Reboot Online Performance & Cultural Warrington Scratch Night.

Supported by: Culture Warrington, GM Artist Reboot Programme
